ESRI ArcGIS Server provides an powerful way to provide geospatial information and analysis functionality via a web-based interface. For the ArcGIS Server assignment for NR 533, I set up a internet mapping application using ArcGIS Server and this performed some visual customization and created some custom analysis tools.
The assignement had the following goals:
- Publish a map resource
- Create a mapping web site
- Customize the appearance of an existing web site
- Add functionality to your web site with an out-of-the-box task
- Add functionality to the web site with an independent toolbox
- Add supplementary site content
- Add functionality to the web site with a tool layer
